2009 Stulberg Burdick- Thorne Gold medalist, Nicholas Schwartz, performs on the Dame Myra Hess concert series at the Chicago Cultural Center at 12:15 p.m. CT. This is a free concert.

January 16, 2010
Nicholas Schwartz performs with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, Miller Auditorium, Western Michigan University at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available at 269.387.2300.

January 17, 2010
Stulberg and all that JAZZ .
..at the Union Cabaret and Grill downtown Kalamazoo featuring double bassist Nicholas Schwartz along with Tom Knific, double bass; Tad Weed, piano;Tim Froncek, drums
Doors will open at 2:00 p.m. -  first set begins at 3:00 p.m.
Cover Charge: $10 and $5 for students.  Proceeds to benefit the Stulberg Competition.

Stulberg Bronze medalist and winner of the Sphinx Competition, Tony Rymer, performs with the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra at Chenery Auditorium at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

February 26, 2010
The Juilliard String Quartet (2010 Competition Judges) will perform a recital at the Dalton Recital Hall, Western Michigan University, at 8:00 p.m. This event is presented in partnership with Fontana Chamber Arts.

35th Annual Competition

Saturday, February 27, 2010
Semifinals 9:00am - 4:00pm
Finals 8:00pm - 9:30pm

Doors will open between each of the performances allowing entrance and egress every 20 or 25 minutes.

2010 Judges: Members of the Juilliard String Quartet - Nick Eanet, violin; Ronald Copes, violin; Samuel Rhodes, viola; Joel Krosnick, cello

All events are free and open to the public located at the Dorothy U. Dalton Center venue generously donated by Western Michigan University.

Parking on the third level of the structure is free and there is direct access to the Dalton Center through the Richmond Center.
