Joshua Song, 17, began his violin studies at age 3, with Ecaterina Gerson at the School for Strings in New York City. He is currently in his fifth year at The Juilliard School PreCollege Division, under the tutelage of Dr. Ann Setzer.

Joshua has won first place in several competitions, including the YWCA of Queens – New York Music Competition, the International New Praise Festival, the Camerata Youth Philharmonic Concerto Competition, and the 2022 Bravura Philharmonic Competition. He has been an Adelphi Young Artist Competition finalist, won Honorable Mention in the 2021 and 2022 National Youngarts Competition, and was selected as the grand prize winner at the International Grande Music Competition. In 2022, he participated as a semi-finalist in the 2022 Johansen International Competition. Most recently, Joshua was awarded the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist’s Award with From the Top.

In 2018 and 2020, Joshua attended the Morningside Music Bridge Festival where he studied and participated in masterclasses with world-renowned artists such as Noah Bendix-Balgley, Earl Lee, Nikki Chooi, Quan Ge, Hsin-Yun Huang, and Agata Szymczewska. In 2022, Joshua had the opportunity to spend the summer at the Meadowmount School of Music as a scholarship recipient. His concert venues include Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium, NEC’s Jordan Hall, and Merkin Concert Hall.
