Submit Your Application

If you are interested in the Stulberg International String Competition and wish to submit your application, make sure to follow the guidelines listed below. Any application that does not follow these instructions unfortunately may not be considered for the competition.

Application Guidelines

Applications for the 2025 Competition open October 15, 2024.

Deadline for submitting applications is February 1, 2025 (11:59 p.m. EST).

Application Form, audition video and application fee must be submitted online at https://app.getacceptd.com/stulberg. Paper applications or CDs will not be accepted.

Application fee is $150 USD payable via credit card only.

Guidelines for Uploading Audition Video

  1. Do not include your name or any identification on the video itself. Applicants will be automatically disqualified if their name appears at any point in the video.
  2. Your video submission must have been recorded within 12 months of the application deadline.
  3. Your audition submission should include the same movement(s) you will play for the semifinals, if selected. No substitutions allowed.
  4. Audition submissions and semifinals concerto performances are limited to 20 minutes.
  5. You may submit either single or multiple movements of a single piece depending on length.
  6. The repertoire submitted must be a concerto from standard repertoire with a readily available orchestral accompaniment.
  7. The recording must be accompanied by piano or orchestra.
  8. Cut lengthy tuttis, both in the introduction and in the body of the movement, if applicable.
  9. Do not submit your recording of the commissioned concerto movement with your application.*

*All applicants will receive a copy of the first movement of the commissioned piece with piano accompaniment. Only the twelve selected semifinalists will be eligible to win the Julius and Esther Stulberg Memorial Prize. Details on how the winner will be selected will be announced to the selected semifinalists.
